Emerson admits concern for AC Milan pal Pato
Emerson is eager to see the hype surrounding AC Milan teammate Alexandre Pato be toned down.
The Brazil veteran midfielder said: "Pato is a boy who has just arrived, we fellow teammates have an obligation to stay close to him. I sometimes mix with him away from training, we sometimes leave together for dinner.
"We share the same agent and some times when I was in Brazil, I had the chance to meet with him. He's a humble person, a player who has done well in Brazil and few players his age are capable of coming to Italy taking his path. He's now at a club which the world watches and being a friend of mine, his well-being is a concern for me.
"Everything that is written in the newspapers and said about him is overstated. He will be a great player, but he is a boy who has yet to grow and all the responsibilities that are given to him are too much. Pato can do a lot for Milan, but only in time.
"I was not surprised by his first performance, which is why I say he can do a lot for Milan, but we must have patience with him. Teams will soon learn how he plays and try to stop him."
