Professor Explains Reasons For Kaká Operation
The professor who executed yesterday's operation on Kaká does not want to rush things with the player's rehabilitation.
That Milan star Ricky Kaká was having a problem to his knee had been known for a while. What also seems evident is that after four years of playing almost non-stop dazzling football and winning an array of individual and team trophies, it was about time the Brazilian took some time off.
The operation he was subjected to yesterday at Rio De Janeiro went smoothly and professor Runco, who has had several Milan players under his knife before, talked about the reasons for the operation to clean up his left knee's meniscus.
"It was as if he had a pebble in his shoe," he explained, "the damage was done by a strain to the joint due to movements of rotation, acceleration, and braking.
"The recovery times? We will evaluate the situation day by day. Certainly we don't want to rush things just so he can play with the Brazilian national team."
