Calderon Doubts Kaka Move
Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon doubts that the club will be able to sign Kaka in the summer, even if AC Milan fail to qualify for the Champions League.
Kaka has been a target for the Spanish champions for a number of years now, and Calderon has never attempted to hide his admiration for the Brazilian.
With Milan trailing fourth-placed Fiorentina by two points going into the final Serie A game of the season this weekend, it is looking highly likely that they will fail to qualify for the Champions League.
This has led to rumours that Kaka may choose to quit the club for Real Madrid if the Rossoneri fail to make it.
"I do not know if there will be a chance to sign Kaka if Milan does not make the Champions League. They're known as only a buying club," said an unenthusiastic Calderon.
The president the went on to talk about sports director Pedja Mijatovic, who he has praised for his work in the transfer market.
"It seems to me to have Mijatovic is a luxury for Madrid,” Calderon explained.
“He has demonstrated this with 19 signings, players who nobody knew and who have been excellent.
"They have provided us with two Ligas, something that has not happened for 18 years. He is an extraordinary person. I have a very good relationship with him."Anthony Sormani
