Kakà Keen On Olympics
Milan playmaker Kakà talked about the race for a Champions League spot and his desire to participate in the summer Olympics with Brazil.
There's one game less to play and the distance from Fiorentina is still the same, but the imperative is not to give up: that is more or less the situation in the Milan camp following the 3-2 defeat away to Juventus, as the battle for a Champions League spot continues.
One of the best players in the Turin game last Saturday was Kakà, who tried to encourage the Rossoneri in one of the most delicate moments of his adventure at the club.
"It's very hard to imagine Milan not playing in the Champions League, things haven't been going so well, but we are not out of it yet and there's time to recover," he said. "There are still some games left and I think that this team, with its experience and everything it has won, can still reach the fourth place."
The Brazilian then talked about the Olympics, which he seems desperate to participate in, despite the fact his club probably wouldn't be very enthusiastic about it.
"Playing in the Olympics would be very stimulating because Brazil have never won the gold medal in football," Kakà said. "For now there are some problems between Milan and the Selecao, which I don't want to get involved in.
"But playing at the Games and winning a title which has never been won by Brazilian football is a big motivation, a player would enter the history books for something like this, because no Brazilian has ever won this before."
