Kaka happy with Chelsea, Real Madrid offers

Kaka happy with Chelsea, Real Madrid offers
Friday 17, October, 2008

AC Milan star Kaka admits he's flattered by recent offers from Chelsea and Real Madrid.

"It would be hypocritical for me to say I did not find the situation gratifying," said Kaka. "But for me the passion, fun and feelings come first. Offers are there for me as for all the players, because the market is open and everyone can make proposals, but I am very attached to Milan.

"The day that I leave will be because my goals are no longer the same as the club."

Kaka Feels Brazilian Pressure

AC Milan attacking midfielder Kaka has made it clear that he does not want to be seen as his national team's saviour. Golden Ball winner Kaka has been selected for the Brazilian national team following a lengthy injury layoff and a few club related commitments, which have prevented him from taking part in a great deal of Brazil's friendly and qualifying commitments.

His call-up and return to the national set-up has prompted fans to expect a return to the glory days due to the skillful World Player of the Year's influence on the game.

The player feels the media and fan pressure upon him with the upcoming matches only a few days away, but he's not keen on being the man in the spotlight.

Brazil face Venezuela and Colombia this week in 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and the Milan star does not want to be considered the solution to his national team's recent problems. “It is not only my responsibility,” asserted the Brazilian ace. "I'm not Brazil's saviour. I will just try to help the team as much as possible.”

Two goalless draws against Argentina and Bolivia in recent matches, as well as 2-0 defeats against Venezuela and Paraguay have disappointed the Seleção fans, leaving Brazil four points behind leaders Paraguay in the South American World Cup qualifying standings.

Kaka has been in blistering form during Milan's last few matches. Having recovered from various knee problems, which plagued him for much of last season, one can see why fans in his homeland are looking to the influential star for leadership.
